Omar Mukhtar: The desert slave who was a free lion

His name is a shining metaphor for the history of freedom and liberty. He was born in 1862 in the small Libyan village of Janzur.  The early life of a nervous school teacher revolved around the house, the mosque and the school.  His immense sincerity and iron nerves were enough to make him a legendary rebel.

Omer Mukhtar

Therefore, in October 1911, when the Italian navy ships anchored off the coast of Libya, General Farafili of the Italian army ordered the Libyan citizens to evacuate the city of Tripoli immediately, as the citizens were told of their helplessness and the strength of the usurping Italian army.  The order was immediately complied with and the city was evacuated, but in spite of this, the drunken Italian army attacked Tripoli and tore the whole city brick by brick, but this attack was for Italy.  It gave birth to a terrible rebel who for the next twenty years drove the Italian army into the desert and shouted at them.

The name of this brave and patriotic rebel was Omar Mukhtar but the world knows him as "Desert Lion".  After 1912, Omar Mukhtar Ghulam became a hero and role model for the Libyan people, especially the youth.  His philosophy and message were very simple and clear that we are an independent and free nation. Who gave Italy the right to rule and enslave us?

He now recruited Libya's enthusiastic youth into his army and expanded the guerrilla war against the invading Italian army. Since Omar Mukhtar belonged to a desert settlement, he was well acquainted with the geography and temperament of the desert which he  Made the greatest weapon of his war.  He, with his young followers on horseback with guns slung over his shoulders, would suddenly emerge from a ravine or a palm grove and attack.

This war became more and more fierce and bloody.  The Italian army laid barbed wire for hundreds of miles in the desert to control the lion, but its attacks increased rather than decreased.  Now the Italian army began arresting women and children to increase pressure on her

It is estimated that more than 125,000 children and women were in prisons, two-thirds of whom were killed inside prisons, but this brave patriot did not lose heart and continued to fight valiantly.

(What's wrong with talking nonsense in a passage. Bollywood made a wonderful film on Omar Mukhtar's struggle called Line of the Desert and then Anthony Quinn's performance has also angered him.  )

Yes, it was happening. One day during Omar Mukhtar's struggle, he was confronted by a senior member of the Italian army along with his comrades and guns started firing from both sides.  Meanwhile, Omar Mukhtar suddenly fell into the clutches of the enemies, he was seventy years old then, but still it was not so easy to control this lion but many misfortunes came together.  His horse slipped and he fell to the ground, breaking his arm.  He still crawled towards his fallen gun, but many Italian soldiers rushed at him.

His brave comrades resisted fiercely, the sands of the desert turned from blood to mud, but unfortunate bravery prevailed.

Three days later, Omar Mukhtar, a 70-year-old but courageous rebel, was brought before a military court in chains, with long lines of soldiers standing outside, ready to face any threat, while the court was covered in Italian.  It was full of military officers.  Chained in a corner of the room, the man stood alone, slowly reciting the Koran.

A shining star in the history of independence, a short time later, an Italian judge sentenced him to death in public without delay.  The satisfaction and smile on his face did not diminish in the slightest, then the judge drew him to him and said, "I am sorry for your death like this."

He looked at the military officers after the judge and said out loud, "Alas, this is a proud and beautiful end to my life."

There was a voice, or God, is it a man or a god?

The Senate was overwhelmed for a moment.  So the military court judge broke the silence and made an interesting offer to him that if you write to your followers to stop the war against Italy, you will be forgiven.  For the first time, a look of anger appeared on his face at this offer, and he looked the judge in the eye and said, "The finger that I have raised in every prayer to bear witness to the Oneness of God and the Prophethood of Muhammad in Arabic  I would prefer death a thousand times over writing a letter in support of a falsehood.

He was hanged in an open field on September 16, 1931, so his confidence and satisfaction were palpable.  The last time he exchanged mischievous smiles with an innocent child, and shortly thereafter his body was hanging by a rope.

But it was not long before the desert of Lashnikel overthrew the Roman Empire

But after a while, this corpse was also liberating Libya.

Hamad Hassan was also liberating Libya.
